In the picturesque landscape of Zillah, Washington State, Leland and Lynda Hyatt planted the seeds of a wine legacy in 1983. What started as a modest Estate vineyard surrounding our Winery has blossomed into a sprawling 180-acre estate, spread across four distinct sites within a mere 3 miles of our original plantings.
Diversity in Terroir
Our vineyards - Cherry Hill, Three Rocks, Roza Ridge, and the original Estate Vineyard - boast remarkably unique characteristics in terms of soils, elevation, and sun exposure. These diverse environments provide the perfect canvas for cultivating a rich tapestry of varietals including Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Chardonnay, Riesling, Black Muscat, and Zinfandel.
A Legacy of Excellence
From our very first release in 1987, Hyatt Vineyards has consistently earned awards, medals, and glowing reviews from wine enthusiasts and critics alike. Our unwavering commitment to quality shines through in every bottle we produce.
Rattlesnake Hills AVA: A Micro-Climate Marvel
In 2006, the pristine micro-climate of the Northern Yakima Valley earned its prestigious American Viticultural Appellation (AVA) designation - Rattlesnake Hills. Hyatt and Roza Ridge vineyards lie at the heart of this exclusive AVA, benefiting from superior heat units and elevations ranging from 700 to 1200 feet above sea level. With 20 wineries nestled within this precisely-defined region, Rattlesnake Hills promises an abundance of perfectly balanced fruit for crafting exceptional Hyatt Vineyard wines.
Zillah: Where Beauty Meets Wine
Zillah, named after the town founder's daughter, sits 18 miles south of Yakima, marking the northern gateway to the Yakima Valley's wine country. Here, the Cascade Range graces us with the breathtaking presence of Mount Adams and Mount Rainier, providing a stunning backdrop for weddings, celebrations, and picturesque picnics at Hyatt Winery.
At Hyatt Vineyards, we invite you to experience the culmination of nature's bounty and human craftsmanship in every glass of our award-winning wines. Join us in celebrating our rich heritage, rooted in a passion for exceptional winemaking.
